Land of the Senecas

Muzzle Loader Club

The Land of the Senecas MLC, located in the Fingerlakes area of Ithaca, NY, is a small group of traditional long rifle cap and flintlock black powder muzzle loaders interested in the French Indian War, American Revolution and War of 1812 period of American History.

We were organized in 1976 and have been in continuous operation since. We believe we are the oldest such club in New York State, and have been hosting open shoots and annual Rendezvous of similarly interested living history buffs, buckskinners and re-enactors since shortly after our organization. We are located on 140 acres on Rogers Hill, west of Ithaca and east of Watkins Glen, overlooking Cayuta Lake.

We are affiliated with the NRA, the NMLRA, and the New York State MLA. A number of our of members are also interested in the American West of the 1880s and we sponsor an affiliated group of SASS cowboy action shooters.
